Vanndemonium is experiencing some large changes. As time goes on, the viability of the current modle of this website is being called into question. On the one hand, I can make changes to HTML code to fix and write new and interesting webpages. On the other hand, the Drupal software integrates forum users with sitewide users so that vanndels can post and comment on articles sitewide under one username. Drupal also leverages the power of the interactive web with PHP making the site easier to design and maintain over the web, but relegating my ability to design and construct to the text and graphics that can be input and not layout or methods of handling.

To Drupal or not is also compounded by the user management system. I plan to eventually migrate to another server and set up a vanndemonium email. while Drupal manages passwords for its forums and blogs it could not do so for the email server. I think I will either use MS server 2003 or try to impliment the Apache james server. I also want to set up a password protected file, but its passwords could not be part of any management system, rather it has to be hard coded (for now).
