How vanndemonium got its name and tag line (where everything can go wrong...). W
hen I was first setting up the server for the site, I ran up on so many problems
that I could have been in hell at that point in time. Pandemonium literally ref
ers to 'all demons' in the same way that pantheon refers to all the gods. Later,
it took on more meaning as the capitol of Hell. In the parlance of our times, i
t really just bears the connotation of supreme evil. After struggling with the se
rver, I got the site up. A guiding philosophy in my life is the idea of asking '
why not' instead of 'why' and there were no really strong reasons not to go in t
his direction. Either way, here we are. To compound this sense of chaos, I will
be using this page to test a few features that could be used on other pages arou
nd vanndemonium. Some of these features will not work in internet explorer. Othe
rwise, only one will not work in Opera, but all will work in Mozilla Firefox. In
case you haven't heard, Firefox 3 beta is out and it is the fastest browser on
the market (get firefox 3 for fast browsing!). Among these features should be a National debt clock at the bottom of the page and a google map of the primaries
just above that. An additional feature allows you to highlight this paragraph to
see the vanndemonium computer. The rest of this text is to take up room for the
image to be displayed. I'm sure it will look better when it has more substance.
I guess I'll end with a Steven Wright Quote, "I saw a friend recently. He asked
why I hadn't called him. I told him I can't call everyone I want because my new
phone has no 5 on it. He asked me how long I had had the phone, but I couldn't t
ell him because my calendar has no sevens on it."How vanndemonium got its name a
